2. Expired Beauty Products

There is a previously determined expiry date on every product, you should not use those products when it gets expired. Using expired products can cause inflammations, irritations, bumps, acne on your eyelids.

3. Allergic Reaction To Eye Makeup Product

As we age our collagen production decreases. During menopause, our body produces fewer estrogen hormones which then reduces the production of collagen. When the levels of estrogen decrease, eyelashes get thinner and lighter and the follicle may not be able to produce new lashes like before.

What Are The Remedies To Get Thick And Long Eyelashes

1. Coconut oil

Coconut oil is rich in lauric acid that helps to lock the protein into your hair and protect them from breakage. Coconut oil also boosts the growth of your eyelashes and also nourishes your hair because of the antioxidants present in the coconut oil. It helps to nutrify your damaged eyelashes.

How to apply

Wash your lashes with a mild cleanser and dry them well by dabbing with a clean towel. Dip a clean cotton bud in coconut oil and apply carefully on your lashes and eyelids.

Apply it daily before going to bed and wash it off with cool water the next morning.

Be careful, don’t let the oil get to your eyes.

2.Castor Oil

Castor oil contains fatty acids like Ricinoleic acid, nutrients and minerals that help to nourish your hair follicles and grows hair faster and thicker. The anti-inflammatory and amazing moisturizing property of castor oil makes your hair soft.

How to apply

Wash your eyelashes with a mild cleanser and Dab your face gently with a clean towel and make your eyelashes dry. Take a tablespoon of good quality Castor oil and a clean Q-tip (Cotton bud).

Dip Q-tip in castor oil and slowly apply on your upper lashes and lower lashes.

Be careful while applying it.

It could cause irritation when it goes to your eyes. Leave the oil on your eyelashes overnight and next morning wash your eyes with cool water. Do this daily before going to bed.

3. Vitamin E capsules

Vitamin E contains essential nutrients and anti-oxidants that boosts the growth of your lashes and make it thicker and darker. Vitamin E also makes hair smooth and soft.

How to apply

Take 1-2 capsules of Vitamin E and take the liquid out from the capsule. Either you can directly apply on your upper and lower lashes or you may add few drops of any oil (Almond oil, Coconut oil, Castor Oil…etc as per your choice) into it.

 Apply on your upper and lower lashes with the help of cotton bud or old clean mascara wand. Apply this every night before going to bed and leave it for overnight. Next morning rinse it off with cool water.

4. Flaxseed Oil

Flaxseed is also known as linseed. Flaxseeds are very rich in omega-3 that helps amazingly to get thicker, bushier and darker eyelashes.

How to apply

Take 2-3 drops of flaxseed oil on a clean Q-tip. Gently apply on your upper and lower lashes. Do this process daily before your bedtime and leave it for overnight. Next morning rinse it off.

5. Aloe Vera Gel

Aloe Vera helps to make your eyelashes thick. Proteolytic Enzymes nourishes the hair follicles and make it strong from inside. Aloe Vera gel contains vitamins and minerals that make your hair grows faster and make it soft and shiny.

How to apply

Take a good quality aloe vera gel as per your choice. Or you can make it at home also. Cut 1-2 leaves of the aloe vera. Wash it nicely and peel its outer layer. Now scoop out the gel and store it in a clean container.  Apply gently on upper and lower lashes and keep it for 30-45 min then wash it off with cool water. Repeat this remedy several times in a day whenever you are free or you can apply it before your bedtime and leave it for overnight.

6. Almond Oil

How to apply

Pour 2-3 drops of good quality almond oil and apply it on your eyelashes with the help of Q-tip or mascara wand. Do this process every night before going to bed.
